Born on 27th September 1981, Brendon McCullum is a New Zealand international cricketer who represents New Zealand in all three forms of the international game (T20, ODI and Test).

In fact he is the current captain of the New Zealand Cricket team in all three forms of the international game (T20, ODI and Test).

He plays for the Otago Volts at the domestic level. He also plays in the Indian Premiere League (IPL).

Brendon McCullum is one of the leading run scorer in Twenty20 International cricket.

In the Indian Premiere League, he played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) from 2008 to 2010. Then he spent one year with Kochi Tuskers Kerala (KTK), and then returned back to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team in 2012 and also played for them in 2013.

In 2014 and 2015 seasons he played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

In players auction for IPL 2016, he was bought by the Rajkot based franchisee Gujarat Lions (GL) for Rs. 7.5 Crores. In IPL 2016 he played in 16 matches scoring 354 runs at an average of 22.12 runs.

He was retained by the team for IPL 2017.
