Born on 17th December 1992, Quinton de Kock is a South African cricketer who plays for the national team in Test matches, ODI’s and T20 matches.
He represents Gauteng and the Lions at domestic level. He also plays in the Indian Premier League 9IPL).
Quinton de Kock is a left-handed wicket-keeper batsman.
Previously he has represented his country at Under-19 level. Recently in February 2013 he hit the highest T20 score (126) in South Africa.
He has been bought by SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2013 players auction for a base price of US $20,000. In IPL 2013, he played in 3 matches and scored just 6 runs.
Surprisingly, in the players auction for IPL 2014, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils (DD) for Rs. 3.5 Crores.
In IPL 2014 he played in 7 matches scoring 153 runs at an average of 21.85 while in IPL 2015 he played in just 3 matches scoring 122 runs at an average of 40.66.
In IPL 2016, he played in 13 matches scoring 445 runs at an average of 37.08.
He was retained by the team for IPL 2017. However he missed the tournament due to injury.
In players auction for IPL 2018 he was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for Rs. 2.8 Crores.
