Born on 30th December 1989, Saurabh Tiwary is an Indian cricketer who has played few ODI’s for Indian but so far has not been successful in cementing his place in Indian cricket team. He plays for Jharkhand in the domestic cricket and also plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Tiwary is a left-handed middle order batsman.

He was one of the key batsmen in the Indian team that won the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup in Malaysia.

He played the first three seasons of the IPL (2008 to 2010) for the Mumbai Indians (MI). He was in his best form in IPL 2010 where he scored 419 runs in 16 games. Thanks to that season he was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team in the IPL 2011 auctions for a whooping US $ 1.6 million and played with the RCB team till IPL 2013.

In the players auction for IPL 2014, he was bought by Delhi Daredevils (DD) for Rs. 70 lakhs.

Tiwary missed the entire season of IPL 2014 due to a shoulder injury.

In IPL 2015, he played in 7 matches scoring 109 runs.

Soon after the players auction for Vivo IPL 2016 he was traded by Delhi Daredevils (DD) to Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS).

In IPL 2016 he played in 10 matches scoring 170 runs at an average of 24.28.

In players auction for IPL 2017 he was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs. 30 Lakhs.
