Born on 11th December 1988, Tim Southee is a New Zealand cricketer who represents New Zealand in T20, ODI’s and Test Matches. He also plays for Northern Districts in the State Championship and Northland in the Hawke Cup.

He is a right-arm fast-medium bowler and hard-hitting lower order batsman. With the ability to combine pace and swing, he is a lethal weapon in any team’s armoury.

He made his debut in IPL in 2011, playing for Chennai Super Kings. In that season he played for CSK in 5 matches taking 4 wickets at an average of 41.50.

For the next two years, he was out of IPL action.

He made a comeback to IPL in 2014 when he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs. 1.2 Crores.
